Envision Women's Health and Wellness, LLC is the manifestation of Linda Lieberman's desire to serve women throughout Linn and Benton counties in her capacity as mentor and innovator in preventative women's health care. Linda is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and received her Masters Degree in 1998 from Case Western Reserve's Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. She is a graduate of the Community-based Nurse Midwifery Education Program (CNEP) in Hyden, Kentucky, a leader in training nurse midwives and family nurse practitioners in the U.S.
Linda's degree as a nurse midwife qualifies her to maintain full prescriptive privileges and be designated a nurse midwife nurse practitioner in the State of Oregon. Historically, Linda resided in Ashland, Oregon for 25 years, where she maintained a full scope independent nurse midwifery practice, Siskyou Women's Health Care. For over 11 years she provided comprehensive home birth services, care of the newborn up to six weeks of age, and primary women's health care within her scope of practice. She is able to care for women of all ages, including teens, and refers clients to specialists when situations warrant it. She also provides well woman exams, orders mammograms, ultrasounds, laboratory tests and many other procedures within the scope of preventative women's health care. She will continue to see babies up to six weeks of age for families interested in a midwifery perspective on newborn care and nurturing.
Linda is a skilled herbalist and has attended over 25 seminars on herbal medicine. She has also instructed numerous classes on medicinal herbal identification and preparation at Midwifery Today conferences in Eugene, Oregon. She designed and presented a monthly comprehensive harvesting and formulation series in Jackson County, Oregon: Healing Plants, Healing Women. She began harvesting herbs to treat illness and general discomforts in 1974 and currently feels a strong affinity for blending traditional and complementary and alternative medicine modalities within her practice.
