Fresh Greens Try to include some type of fresh greens in your diet every day. The composition of human blood and chlorophyll is almost identical. About the only exception is that the basic mineral in the blood is iron, while that of chlorophyll is magnesium.

Blackstrap Molasses is a very rich source of iron. One teaspoonful contains 1.4 milligrams of iron. It is the one food which does not require hydrochloric acid for digestion. Blackstrap molasses contains almost double the amount of iron of beef liver. Eat it on cereal and legumes, or mixed in milk; calcium binds iron, making absorption harder, so do not always take molasses with dairy.

Protein intake is very important, but the quality is as important as the quantity. Be careful not to overdo it; when your body gets overloaded with protein, it starts dumping calcium.

Sprouts are the most alive food on the face of the earth. Alfalfa sprouts contain 150% more protein than other grains. They are especially rich in iron, chlorophyll, and calcium.

Sugar robs the body of calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin C. Sugar is a strong stimulant and disrupts the normal balance of the endocrine system. Read labels and use sugar only in moderation.

Calcium Carbonate And Calcium Citrate are the most easily assimilated calcium supplements.

Weight Gain during pregnancy is best aimed at 25-35 pounds. If a woman is obese during pregnancy, she should aim at no more than a 15 pound weight gain. If you are being very careful to eat only the things that will build a strong healthy baby, you shouldn't worry if you put on a few extra pounds; but in the U.S.A., more women are gaining weight that they are not able to lose after birth, which leads to our nation's higher proportion of overweight individuals.
